Principles and Practices for a Federal Statistical Agency: A Timeless Resource

Since 1992, Principles and Practices for a Federal Statistical Agency has supported the essential role of relevant, credible, trusted, impartial, and innovative government statistics to inform decisions by policymakers, businesses, families, and the general public. The report describes the characteristics of effective federal statistical agencies, with an updated edition released at the start of each presidential term.

This seminar will provide an overview of the 8th Edition of the report and engage a panel to discuss the importance of the principles and practices in every administration.
