AI and Justice Policy: Ethical Consideration for Researchers

As artificial intelligence rapidly transforms the research landscape, applied researchers in the justice arena face new opportunities and challenges in how these tools are applied to study crime, policy, and public safety. This interactive webinar provides an overview of how AI can be responsibly integrated into research, offering an introduction to the ethical deployment of AI in justice policy research. Special attention will be given to maintaining transparency, reliability, and methodological rigor when AI tools are used. The session will also examine considerations for using AI in Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Mohammad Hosseini, MA, PhD

Assistant Professor, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Department of Preventive Medicine. Dr. Hosseini’s research is focused on ethical implications of using artificial intelligence (AI) in research and publications, research ethics and integrity and open science.
