JIRN Brown Bag: Yearwood Awards Highlight – Statistical/Management Publications

This Brown Bag session will feature presentations from our Idaho and Wyoming SACs discussing their Yearwood Award-winning publications in the Statistical/Management category.

Thomas Strauss will discuss Idaho’s Sexual Violence in Idaho: Prevalence and Health Impacts. This research brief presents data from the Idaho Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System on the prevalence of sexual violence in Idaho and the adverse health impacts associated with sexual violence victimization.

Lena Dechert will discuss Wyoming’s Addressing Intimate Partner Homicide in Wyoming: A Comprehensive Analysis of Fatalities, 2014-2023. This report details the findings from an examination of 10 years of Domestic violence homicide data. The objective was to identify the primary risk factors contributing to these deaths and emphasize areas for system improvements to prevent domestic violence in the future.
